The Tokyo Ballet: Casse-Noisette by Maurice Béjart (Feb 2025)
The Tokyo Ballet is delighted to present Casse-Noisette (Nutcracker) by Maurice Béjart for the first time since 2017, on 7, 8 and 9 February 2025 at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan to close our 60th anniversary season. Join us for a magical journey of a little boy, Bim, on Christmas Eve, a fantastical autobiography of Maurice Béjart.

Béjart Ballet Lausanne: Post-show talk by Julien Favreau and Juichi Kobayashi (22 Sept)
Enjoy the special post-show talk by Artistic Director Julien Favreau and Ballet Master Juichi Kobayashi after the Ballet for Life performance at 18:00 on Sunday 22 September.
The Japan tour will be Julien Favreau's first international tour after he became Artistic Director of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. At the same time, it will be the final opportunity to see him dance on stage in Japan since he is to retire as dancer in December. He, alongside Juichi Kobayashi, is one of the last dancers who had direct guidance from Maurice Béjart. Don't miss out on the shows and the post-show talk!

The Tokyo Ballet: 36th International Tour - Italy
The Tokyo Ballet is delighted to announce that the Company will tour to Italy from 12 to 29 November 2024. It will be the Company's 36th international tour to present 13 performances in four cities: Cagliari, Bari, Bologna and Rimini. The programs will be selected from five beautiful masterpieces representing the Company's vast repertoire: The Kingdom of the Shades from Natalia Makarova's La Bayadère, two works by Maurice Béjart, Roméo et Juliette Pas de deux and Le Sacre du Printemps, and two works by Jiří Kylián, Petite Mort and Dream Time.
Since its first international tour in 1967, only three years after its foundation, The Tokyo Ballet has given 786 performances at theaters abroad in 156 cities in 33 countries, including the Palais Garnier, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Bolshoi Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre, and Royal Opera House. At the end of the upcoming Italian tour, the Company will mark 799 performances abroad in 158 cities in 33 countries.
