Artistic Director Yukari Saito started the Project in 2017 aiming at further motivating The Tokyo Ballet's dancers as artists, by stimulating their creativity and developing artistry through their choreographing and performing their own ballets.
This season, The Tokyo Ballet will present their new creations in the Company's studio, which can give a closer look at their choreographies as well as each dancer's every step. A post-performance talk is scheduled on each performance date.

We have heard many voices from our valued friends that they would like to make contributions also towards male dancers. On this occasion, we have decided, for the first time, to ask you for contributions towards male dancers' ballet shoes. All the contributions extended through the purchase of special tickets with a "contribution towards Ballet Shoes" will be appropriated for purchasing the Company's male dancers' ballet shoes. Thank you for your help in securing the future of The Tokyo Ballet.
