A Royal Celebration will be an exuberant mixed programme illustrating a dazzling range of The Royal Ballet's signature repertoire in classical, contemporary and heritage works, led by the Company's acclaimed artists and Principal dancers.
A Month in The Country, one of Frederick Ashton's late masterpieces, is a distinctively English style of ballet portraying a poignant exploration of love and longing. For Four was originally created in 2006 by Christopher Wheeldon on four dancers, Angel Corella, Johan Kobborg, Ethan Stiefel and Nikolay Tsiskaridze, for Kings of the Dance, an all-star male ballet spectacular. Prima choreographed by Royal Ballet First Soloist Valentino Zucchetti for four female Principal dancers received its world premiere in 2022. "Diamonds" from Jewels is a classic by American ballet titan George Balanchine.
