Performance Dates & Tickets
The Royal Ballet returns to Japan for the first time in 3 years with two of its signature works.

The Royal Ballet, the UK's largest and most renowned company, is visiting Japan for the first time since 2023 with a line-up of some of the most prestigious performers on the international dance scene, including many Japanese dancers. Their outstanding performances under the directorship of Kevin O'Hare, celebrated for their dynamism and versatility, are not to be missed.

The tour will open at Kawaguchi LILIA FUKAGAWA MIRAI HALL (Saitama prefecture) on Friday 3 July 2026 with La Fille mal gardée radiating sunshine and demonstrating the brilliant invention of the Company's Founding Choreographer, Frederick Ashton. Both a charming love story and a quintessentially English portrait of country life, this uplifting ballet is a showcase for his unique storytelling skills and the irresistible artistry and virtuosity of the Company's dancers.

Following the five performances of La Fille mal gardée, the acclaimed Romantic classic Giselle, Peter Wright's much-loved, dramatic production, will be danced by five dazzling casts at NHK Hall (Shibuya, Tokyo) from Friday 10 July. Set to Adolphe Adam's evocative score and with atmospheric designs by John Macfarlane, Giselle conjures up earthly and otherworldly realms in a tale of love, betrayal and redemption. The year 2026 marks Peter Wright's 100th birth anniversary.

Every performance is not to be missed!
