It is with a heavy heart that we announce The Royal Ballet Japan Tour scheduled for June/July 2022 has been postponed to June/July 2023 due to the ongoing situation worldwide with COVID-19.

Japan Performing Arts Foundation and The Royal Ballet had been in discussions to realise the Japan tour, but the difficulty of international travelling in a large group as a company due to the unpredictable situation and restrictions both in the UK and Japan forced us to postpone the Company's tour. We apologise to our valued audiences who have been anticipating the performances by the whole Company but appreciate everyone's kind understanding for the unavoidable situation.

Meanwhile, Japan Performing Arts Foundation plans the gala performances with a group of dancers of The Royal Ballet, which will take place in July 2022. We believe this gala will showcase the essence of the artistry of the Company and its extensive repertoire, as well as the outstanding talents of its dancers. The performance dates and venue of the gala performances are as follows. Details will be announced at a later date.

Performance Dates: Wednesday 13 July 2022 - Monday 18 July 2022

Venue: Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Tokyo

Details for the postponed tour in 2023 will also be announced at a later date.
