It is with regret that we announce that two Principal Artists of The Australian Ballet in the lead roles, Benedicte Bemet and Joseph Caley, have had to withdraw from the performance of Don Quixote on Saturday 31 May (matinée) due to injury. Benedicte Bemet will be replaced by Senior Artist Yuumi Yamada as Kitri, and Joseph Caley by Principal Artist Brett Chynoweth as Basilio.
We apologise to our valued audiences who have been anticipating the appearance of Benedicte Bemet and Joseph Caley, but appreciate everyone's kind understanding for the unavoidable situation. At the same time, we hope you will enjoy the exuberant performance of Yuumi Yamada and Brett Chynoweth.
