Cast Change: Wiener Staatsoper's Le nozze di Figaro
It is with great regret that Patricia Noltz has had to withdraw from today's performance of Le nozze di Figaro due to a sudden illness. The role of Cherubino will be sung by mezzo-soprano Teresa Sales Rebordão

Teresa Sales Rebordão, Mezzo-soprano 
Portuguese mezzosoprano Teresa Sales Rebordão is currently based in Vienna as a member of the opera studio of the Wiener Staatsoper.
Teresa made her debut in Vienna 2024 performing as Rosette in Manon and shortly after, she debuted in the role of Junger Doktor in Palestrina, under the baton of Christian Thielemann. During the 2024/25 season, Teresa had the pleasure of jumping in three times at the Wiener Staatsoper (all role debuts): first as Laura in the new production of Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, conducted by Tugan Sokhiev; after that as the Zweite Dame in The Magic Flute, conducted by Adam Fischer; and as Mercédès in Carmen, conducted by Marco Armiliato. This first season at the Wiener Staatsoper, she also covered a wide range of roles including Cherubino, Zerlina, Lola, among others.
Teresa is a prizewinner in various competitions, including the International Singing Competition Cascais Ópera 2024, where she received a prize-contract with the Marvão International Music Festival, awarded by Juliane Banse. In the field of song, she received the Song Award at the Vocallis Festival 2021 in the Netherlands.
Teresa made her debut in Germany at the Theater Aachen with the role of Witwe in Pasticcio Ombra Felice by Clara Hinterberger. She performed again at the same theatre in the following two seasons with the roles of Stewardess (Flight) and Frau Pfeil (Der Schauspieldirektor), the latter a modern arrangement premiered at the Salzburger Festspiele in 2017, under the direction of the prestigious director and author of the arrangement Elena Tzavara. During her studies, she also had the pleasure of performing the roles Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), La messagiera (L'Orfeo) and L'enfant (L'enfant et les sortiléges).
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Teresa began her vocal studies at the Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa with Armando Possante. She went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in singing and Master's degree in opera with distinction, under the guidance of Professor Claudia Kunz-Eisenlohr. In Germany, she discovered a great interest in German Lied. She worked regularly under the guidance of Professor Ulrich Eisenlohr. At the same time, she took further training courses with Ingeborg Danz, Anne Le Bozec, Jan Philip Schulze, Burkhard Kehring and Pauliina Tukiainen.  As a member of the opera studio of the Wiener Staatsoper, she has had the pleasure to work with Brigitte Fassbaender, Helmut Deutsch, Nicole Car, Audrey Saint-Gil, among others. Teresa currently studies with the soprano Romana Noack.
