The 16th World Ballet Festival: Cancellation of the Gala on Aug. 25

It is with great regret that we announce that the World Ballet Festival Gala scheduled on Wednesday 25 August 2021 has been cancelled. It has become necessary to close the 16^th World Ballet Festival on Sunday 22 August due to several reasons.

As the global COVID-19 situation changes every day, so do the entry and quarantine restrictions of each country. In addition, some ballet companies will open the 2021/22 season earlier than usual. As we had consulted with participating dancers, and had learned about their new season schedule and the mandatory quarantine period after international travel, we have had to conclude to close the 16^th World Ballet Festival on Sunday 22 August and cancel the Gala. There will be no ticket sales for the Gala. However, we are doing our utmost to make the 16^th World Ballet Festival happen with Program A and Program B to keep the flame of its 45-year history alive.

Under the current situation, changes in the cast or programs might become necessary. We would appreciate your kind understanding and continued support.
